DETECT - Best Boy Electric

For this week’s DETECT we welcome @bestboi.

A rapidly increasing presence in Germany, they first came onto our radar a year ago during their determined efforts to increase FLINTA* presence in Hamburg’s club culture.

Part of the queer, FLINTA* collective POSSY and a resident at The Golden Pudel Club, Best Boy Electric’s fight has since taken them further afar with recent bookings at Tresor and ://about blank as well as festivals across Germany. Taking efforts into their own hands they launched their own events including ‘Fine Space’ which prioritises platforming BIPOC FLINTA* artists and ‘Dream Journal’.

For this vinyl-only mix they take a more melancholic approach to their Detroit electro influenced sound, introducing increasingly volatile, percussive elements.
